We know Imen Zitouni rocks. And now the rest of Canada knows it too

The Globe and Mail's Report on Business Magazine published an article today featuring Imen after she was recently named one of Canada's Best Executives.

The annual award celebrates 50 exceptional non-CEO leaders in Canada whose work the world deserves to know about. Award winners are determined by a free and open nomination process.

This award confirms that we can be bold and ambitious in achieving our goals with the means and support we have at Intact," says Imen.

When Imen joined Intact in 2011 to lead digital strategy for belairdirect she saw an opportunity to create a superior digital experience for customers. She pitched the idea of creating a digital lab – a space where tech meets insurance.

When the Lab launched in 2015, it began with 15 team members. Under Imen's leadership, it has grown to more than 300 professionals working in digital, design, and tech and is a core part of our business, generating $885 million annually.

The Intact Insurance app—now the most downloaded insurance app in Canada with more than a million users—was designed by this team, as well as other leading digital products from IFC brands. The Lab has also made IFC a leading company in human-centred design, where behavioural science, software development and design-thinking are transforming the customer experience for millions of Canadians.

Imen leads with positivity, enthusiasm, and a big heart. She strives to pass on her knowledge by encouraging her team to think outside the box to help customers. "Simplifying insurance takes creativity, empathy and hard work," she explains. "We explore, take risks, make mistakes, and learn all day, every day. At the Intact Lab, innovation is everyone's job."
