Intact Financial Corporation announces quarterly dividend rate for Series 4 Preferred Shares

TORONTO, Dec. 1, 2016 /CNW/ - Intact Financial Corporation ("IFC") announced today the quarterly dividend rate applicable to its Non-cumulative Floating Rate Class A Shares Series 4 (the "Series 4 Preferred Shares") in respect of the quarterly floating rate period beginning December 31, 2016.

The dividend rate for the Series 4 Preferred Shares for the quarterly floating rate period from and including December 31, 2016 to but excluding March 31, 2017 will be 0.78140% (3.169% on an annualized basis), as determined in accordance with the terms of the Series 4 Preferred Shares (the "Floating Quarterly Dividend Rate"). The dividend, if declared, for such dividend period will be $ 0.19535 per Series 4 Preferred Share.

The Floating Quarterly Dividend Rate will be reset every quarter. In the future, information relating to dividend rates for IFC's preferred shares will be made available at www.intactfc.com in the "Shareholder Information" section under the "Investors" tab.

The Series 4 Preferred Shares are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the trading symbol "IFC.PR.D".
